Twelve games, six players and one court, and a finish the standings could not settle on their own. Sid and Shanthan both ended the night on 6 points, and the top spot went to Sid on point differential, +49 to +35. The two of them split the evening almost perfectly between them: Shanthan went 4-0 through the first round without ever looking troubled, and Sid answered by winning their last five in a row, from game 6 through to the final point of the night. Shanthan's one blemish was game 8, a 21-13 loss to Deepu and Sid, which only stands out because everything either side of it was spotless. Sid also finished with the most points scored, 174, and gave up the fewest, 15.6 a game.
Deepu took third at 4-3 and signed off with the heaviest blow of the night, a 31-13 alongside Shanthan that was also the longest game anyone sat through at 44 points. TJ won three of their first five and then lost the last three, which is a rough way to land on 3 points. Jo bookended the evening neatly, taking the very first game and the very last one, with a long and expensive middle in between: 204 points conceded, more than anyone. And then Re2, whose 2-7 reads far worse than the night actually went. Three of those losses came by three points or fewer, two of them by two, and both wins were routs, 21-15 and 31-13. That second one landed in the same round as a 10-21 flattening, a 29-point swing and the biggest turnaround of the night.
